Downloading the Crypto Challenge

To download the Crypto Challenge, do the following (I recommend that you read the instructions through before doing anything.) Please forgive me if the instructions are too detailed. I had my father go through this with an earlier version, and he didn't have a clue as what to do. If these instructions are not clear, have one of your kids take a look. They can probably figure it out: 

1. Create a folder to receive the application, if you don't already have one. Click here for a detailed explanation.
2. Click the Download link below (after you have read all the directions). Detailed Explanation
3. In the file explorer, get into  downloads folder. Detailed explanation
4. Perform the extraction. Detailed explanation.
5. Double-click Setup in the downloads folder (the one marked Application, not LST File). This will commence the installation. See Illustration
6. You will be prompted to take certain actions. Detailed Explanation
7. Click the Start button (lower left hand corner of your screen) with the Left mouse button.
8. Click Programs
9. Locate and click Crypto Challenge
10. Click the icon.

Note: If you downloaded Crypto Challenge 4.0 prior to December 18, 2003, you can download an enhancement that addresses a couple of glitches. Just save it to the Crypto Challenge 4.X folder. Click here for the enhancement
